In December 2007 the Panel published two practical guides on identity fraud - one for businesses, the other for individuals. These guides are based on the Cybercrime Working Group's previously successful publication Identity Fraud: Do you know the signs? and cover the ways in which identity fraud can manifest itself, how to detect identity fraud, and what individuals and businesses can do to reduce the risk of becoming a victim. The guides are available to download free from the FAP website. [link to the publications page of the main website]
In November the Panel, in conjunction with the Finance and Leasing Association, published a short guide Fraud in the Private Sector: An introduction to law enforcement in the United Kingdom which provides an overview of the main criminal justice agencies that have a remit to investigate and prosecute some types of fraud against the private sector. The guide is available to download free from the FAP website. [link to the publications page of the main website]
The Panel has published an occasional paper outlining the proceedings of its Fraud in Research: Is it new or just not true? conference held in May. The paper covers good research governance, misconduct in science, the role of editors in fostering research integrity, whistle blowing and the investigation of fraud in clinical research. The paper is available to download free from the FAP website. [link to the other publications section of the main website]
