Governance

The Fraud Advisory Panel is a charitable company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales (charity number 1108863; company number 04327390).

We are governed by a board comprising between three and fifteen trustee directors. Trustees are appointed by ordinary resolution for a fixed period of three years maximum, and may be appointed to serve further terms. Three trustees can be co-opted to serve at any one time. ICAEW also has the right to appoint up to one third of the directors.

Trustees receive a handbook that includes details of the Panel’s financial, governance and operational arrangements on appointment. They also complete a declaration of interests which is reviewed annually.

A nominations committee oversees board appointments and succession planning and ensures that these processes are open, transparent and continuous.

We are funded through membership subscription, event registration fees, and an annual grant received from ICAEW. We also receive ad hoc sponsorship and in-kind donations of time, expertise, venues and refreshments.
