Future Counter Fraud Community

Zoë Unankah

Zoe Unankah is a dedicated Counter Fraud Specialist currently serving at Cancer Research UK (CRUK). In her role, she investigates a broad range of fraud cases across multiple departments, including legacy fraud, online fundraising fraud, and fraudulent activities involving members of the public and businesses.

Since joining CRUK, Zoe has significantly enhanced the quality of fraud referrals by increasing organisational awareness of the fraud team’s role and strengthening both the fraud log and investigation procedures.

Previously, Zoe worked as a Counter Fraud Investigator at Enfield Council, where she was responsible for probing Right to Buy applications, monitoring purchase card usage, and verifying household amendments. Her investigations led to the referral of multiple cases with potential criminal implications to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and the police.

Beth Dear

Beth is currently a Trainee Investigator at Harod Associates, a global investigative solutions firm. She recently completed the Fraud Advisory Panel’s FCFC Mentoring Scheme, which has further enhanced her professional development following her graduation from university with a Law degree and a Master’s in International Banking and Finance Law.

Nathaniel Littler

Associate (Global Investigations), Pinsent Masons LLP, specialising in internal and prosecutorial
investigations; bribery; fraud; sanctions; money laundering and general compliance issues (including in the
context of corporate and finance transactions).

Lucy Jenkins

Lucy is an Assistant Manager in S&W’s Forensic Services department based in London. She specialises in fraud and financial crime investigations, as well as commercial disputes.

Her recent work includes an investigating fraud at a UK charity (including producing witness statements in support of a successful private prosecution), asset tracing for an individual and a large group of companies, and an ongoing criminal investigation and asset recovery exercise in relation to embezzlement from a foreign state pension fund.

She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW in 2024. Prior to her forensic accountant role, Lucy spent four years in S&W’s Audit & Assurance team in Bristol as an external auditor and gained experience with a variety of clients and sectors.

Julie Leduc

Julie is a Trainee Solicitor with Tenet, specialists in disputes, investigations and compliance issues arising from fraud and financial crime. She is a graduate of the University of Birmingham’s LLB for Graduates (Hons) where she studied Commercial law, Company Law and International Dispute Resolution. Before studying in the UK, Julie obtained a BA (Hons), major in Philosophy before completing a Civil Law certificate in French at the University of Montreal in Canada. She is a Canadian national and is bilingual in French and English. Her professional and academic background has been focused on commercial dispute resolution, international law and advocacy. She was awarded Best Negotiator at the University of Birmingham 2023-2024 and Gold Award for outstanding commitment to extra-curricular activity.
